Room in a shared flat

**The room:** The room is around 10 m2, it’s the smallest in the apartment though, perfect for someone who is organized, looking to have a room in Zurich during the week or if you are an exchange student who needs a cheap but cozy stay for a semester or a year. The flat is bright, renovated and has a balcony with a little wild garden. There is a common washing room with a shared washer and dryer (also drying room) for the whole building. We have our own washing day. As part of moving in, there is a required deposit of 2,357 CHF, which you will get back when you move out. **We are looking for:** We are looking for a third member for our homely flat in Oerlikon (preferably female). We are organized and clean, so we are looking for someone who shares and appreciates the same standards of cleanliness. If something needs to be discussed and addressed, we take time to communicate things in a constructive way to find solutions. Through living together for some years, we have developed a friendship. Therefore, it’s important for us that you are open to fit in within our dynamics and become a part of our home. If you dont want to be asked how your day was or you mind to chat in the kitchen while cooking, this flat is not the right fit for you. Write us a bit about you and what you are looking for. **About us:** Janina (30), an English and Math teacher, and Chiara (32) PhD in Linguistics. We both love to cook, drink jasmin tea, chat together in the evening and get excited about going to second-hand stores. Since we have gotten to know some people in Oerlikon and are on good terms with the neighbours as well, we host a Christmas dinner every year. Although we are both quite social, we both need and take our space and silence in our room. Janina is very open and communicative. Her background is quite varied: She grew up in Mexico, lived in the USA, has German background, and enjoys living in Switzerland at the moment. On the weekends you can find her crafting and painting in the living room or watching a movie. In summer, Chiara, a Zurich native, often goes over to her family garden to care for the tomatoes, which she turns into homemade sugo. Otherwise, she is into Italian Indie music, loves to cook and dance salsa whenever she finds the time. At home we speak English, but we also speak German and Spanish (mostly Janina - Chiara's Spanish consists of "si" & "no") ;) Looking forward to hearing from you!
